SecuKEEPER – Very Easy to Use Software to Protect Your Sensitive Data
Developed by AEP Soft, SecuKEEPER is an application that weighs in at little over 3MB. At such a lightweight download size, getting the application off the web and onto your computer will only take a moment. Speaking of things that will only take a moment, the installation process will go at a similarly fast pace.
Once the application is up and running, it will come in handy when you need to keep your data safe from prying eyes. SecuKEEPER’s sleek, intuitive and attractive interface provides access to numerous ways you could secure your files – the more features the better.
These features are:
- Lock files and folders, any number of files and folders. Once a file or folder has been locked, it cannot be deleted and it cannot be accessed by someone else.
- Hide files (including encrypted files) so that no one is tempted to access your data. A file can be hidden inside another file – you can for example hide a .doc in a JPG file.
- Encrypt files and folders stored on your computer or on portable storage devices. These self-decrypting feature ensures you can decrypt a file even when you use it on a computer that doesn’t have SecuKEEPER.
- Private Coffer, a virtual encrypted disk, where you can store all your sensitive data. All files and folders you stored in the Private Coffer are automatically encrypted.
SecuKEEPER guides the user step by step through using these features.
Besides the protection features presented above, SecuKEEPER also comes with a password generator and a password manager. The password generator comes with passwords, the password manger keeps passwords well organized.
Using SecuKEEPER is a fairly straightforward process that should not pose a problem, not even to the greenest of computer users. The only thing that may bug you while using SecuKEEPER is the fact that the text used throughout the interface is poorly written. The text included in the Help file is just as poorly written. It’s not unintelligible, but it’s not exactly perfect either. The person who wrote it is obviously not a native English speaker. On the upside, the fact that SecuKEEPER is incredibly easy to use more than makes up for the poorly written texts.
If you want to encrypt, lock or hide files, you can very easily do so with SecuKEEPER.
